2015 Shanxi Intelligent Manufacturing MES Application Forum Successfully Hosted

August 14 2015, Xi’an—Chinese Digital Enterprise portal e-works announced the successful conclusion of 2015 Shanxi Intelligent Manufacturing MES Application Forum at Xi’an, the capital city of the northeast province Shanxi, China.

Focusing on digital factory and production process control, this year’s MES forum has attracted more than 250 audiences from industries include iron and steel, engineering machinery, electronics, military industry, energy and power, aerospace and defense, and food and beverages. They are IT principals from large manufacturing enterprises, representatives from well-known MES vendors, or MES experts.

Mr. Genping Wang, Division Head of Shanxi Province Internet Information Office, hosted the forum. Mr. Suchang Cai, Deputy Director of Shanxi Province Industry and Information Technology Department gave a speech around “promoting enterprise intelligent manufacturing based on integration of industrialization and IT”. Mr. Wang introduced intelligent manufacturing situation in Shanxi Province and shared ideas and methods in moving towards intelligent manufacturing.

Later, Dr. Pei Huang, e-works CEO shared the development trends of MES applications, cutting-edge information technologies, and practical application promotion methods by giving a speech around “Intelligent Manufacturing and MES Application”.

In the following session, several CIOs shared their MES application and implementation experiences with audiences. Mr. Weirong Chen, China XD Group Corporation Manufacturing and Information Management Department Vice Director, shared their successful experience in building XD’s digital factory. Mr. Wei Hui, AVIC Xi’an Flight Automatic Control Research Institute Director shared MES application knowledge in aerospace industry. Mr. Jiang Zhang, Shanxi Baoguang Vacuum Electric Device Company Information Division Director shared his personal views on applying MES technology on their imbedded pole products. Mr. Qun Yan, Information Promotion Department Engineer, Shanxi Diesel Engine Heavy Industry Company shared their digital workshop building experience.

Later, eight industry well-known MES vendors introduced their latest MES technologies and successful implementation cases. They are IntMES, Honeywell, Beijing Anolesoft, Huatie Haixing, Fahon-Sinda Technology, Bill-SJ, Beijing Wellin Tech, and Beijing LGCX.

In the Panel Discussion Session, five experts discussed around the digital factory and production process control as well as the difficulties in building digital factory.

The last session in the first day forum was CIO salon. Focusing on MES planning, implementation difficulties and promotion strategies, audiences and guests had a face-to face discussion and Q&A on practical issues, such as MES implementation steps, data collection and analysis, and system integration etc.

On the second day of the forum, Mr. Wei Du, e-works Consulting Director gave lectures on MES requirements analysis and applications. He explained MES system concept, ISA95 standard, MES system planning, requirement analysis and application.

The forum has closed successfully. It has been highly praised by both the audiences and guests. Since 2006, e-works has hosted Chinese Manufacturing MES Annual Conference for ten years and MES Application Forum for five years.
