e-works successfully hosted Chinese Intelligent Manufacturing (Wuxi) Forum 2015

September 18th 2015, Wuxi—Chinese Digital Enterprise Portal e-works successfully hosted Chinese Intelligent Manufacturing Forum 2015 at Sheraton Hotel in Wuxi, a beautiful city in Yangtze River Delta.

This year, the topic is “Chinese Intelligent Manufacturing Roadmap “. The event brought together more than 200 participants from well-known manufacturers and mainstream vendors, as well as industry and IT experts.

Mr. Xiaohua Chen, Deputy Director of Wuxi Economic and Information Technology Commission gave an opening speech at the forum.

Dr. Pei Huang, e-works CEO gave a keynote speech on the topic of Intelligent Manufacturing and Made in China 2025. He talked about the background, present situation, and future prospects of Chinese intelligent manufacturing through three aspects: Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing, Made in China 2025, and “Internet Plus Chinese Manufacturing”. At the end, he gave some suggestions on promoting intelligent manufacturing and overall strategy.

Two CIOs from manufacturing enterprises shared their intelligent manufacturing experiences. Mr. Yun Tu, General Manager, Scanning and Mobile Business Dept., Honeywell shared their successful implementation and application of auto-feeding system in Honeywell Suzhou Factory. Mr. Pei Cai, MES Development Director, Bosch Automotive Products Suzhou Company discussed how to realize digital factory and improve product competitiveness through MES solution.

Many well-known intelligent manufacturing vendors also brought their solutions and shared some successful cases. Mr. Liang Lyu, Enterprise Solution Senior Manager, DELL introduced blue print design of Internet Plus IT through engineering approaches and shared DELL cloud strategy and roadmap. Mr. Wei Cheng, Senior Solution Consultant, HKT shared their innovative manufacturing digital management and implementation experience of building effective digital plant. Mr. Xianrong Yang, manufacturing information system expert, EUNIVERSALS Technology introduced their intelligent manufacturing three-in-one system and put forward some ideas on realizing intelligent Industry 4.0 manufacturing management. Mr. Yong Zhao, Building Industry Director, Hikvision shared their visual integrated management solution. Mr. Gang Wang, Senior Sales Manager, DYXnet brought forward an industry solution to better leverage trans-regional networks to uplift enterprise efficiency.

In panel discussion session, four guests discussed around the topic “how to support intelligent manufacturing through in-depth integration of industrialization and IT application”. They talked about the influence of different integration level on intelligent manufacturing as well as how should enterprise carry out integration so as to improve Chinese intelligent manufacturing.

At the end of the forum, CIO salon offers participants a good opportunity to discuss their concerns and headache problems. They mainly focused on the key point and difficulties of applying intelligent manufacturing technology. Also they discussed some effective promotion methods. Many participants commented that it is a strongly targeted forum with lots of useful information and valuable experience for them.
