December 15 2016， Chengdu—Chinese Digital Enterprise Portal e-works has successfully hosted the 8th Chinese Manufacturing Supply Chain Forum 2016 at Dorsett Grand Hotel Chengdu.

More than 200 participants attended the forum including manufacturing supply chain managers, home and abroad mainstream software vendors, supply chain and IT experts, and government officers.

Mr. Jun Zheng, Director of Network Management and Information Promotion, Chengdu Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Committee addressed the forum. He said that internet based new information technologies are transforming production modes, industry forms, and business models in China. Chengdu is implementing intelligent manufacturing policies and deep integration of IT applications and industrialization right now.

Dr. Pei Huang, e-works CEO talked about the Intelligent Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management Trend. Dr. Huang believes that manufacturing competition mainly comes from innovation, supply chain integration and comprehensive services. He also shared the application of sharing economy in manufacturing industry.

Mr. Ming Jin, Chinese famous supply chain expert talked about supply chain cloud service and analyzed supply chain management challenges.
Mr. Qinghua Yan, Network Business Department Director, China Federation of Logistics &Purchasing introduced the change of supply chain in Chinese manufacturing enterprises and development opportunities brought by that under the current situation of new economy and industry collaboration. Professor Yi Zhang from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications talked the features and components of smart logistics and shared several smart logistics cases.

Software vendors including SAP, SupplyOn, ZQSOFT, BIDLINK, SEEBURGER, and EUS introduced their advanced concept, supply chain applications, solutions and successful cases.

Four representatives from manufacturing enterprises shared their supply chain implementation practice. Mr. Xiaoyi Zhang, Midea Group Supply Chain Department Director introduced Midea’s supply chain system. Mr. Yong Zhou, TONGWEI CIO introduced TONGWEI’s supply chain management framework and features. He mainly introduced their production and marketing collaboration, central purchasing, dynamic inventory management, flexible sales system, and operation monitoring. Mr. Jian Yang, Pearl Household Supply Chain Senior Project Manager introduced their supply chain project. Pearl Household supply chain related to ERP, WM, CRM, WEB, MES, APO, PDM, SRM systems and Yang mainly introduced their APO system and MES system implementation and benefits. Mr. Chenghua Ye, CIO of Chengdu Bangbangwa Industry Company introduced the construction of their business-sharing center and the important role that data plays from different aspects.
