Co-sponsored by Testing center integration of informatization and industrialization in Shandong Province, 10th MES Forum was hosted in Hyatt Recency Jinan. With the theme of "Digital plant and production process control", the forum attracted more than 400 CIOs, IT managers, MES vendors, and MES experts from industries of iron and steel, engineering machinery, electronics, aerospace and defense, energy, and food and beverage.

Shandong Economic and Information Technology Committee Chief Engineer Mr. Shuling Zhao addressed the forum. Dr. Pei Huang, e-works CEO analyzed the Chinese manufacturing innovation and transformation trends.

Manufacturing CIOs from several large enterprises shared their MES application and implementation experience. Mr. Fuguang Jin, IT R&D Deputy Director of Sailun Company, a tire manufacturer introduced their "digital plant" through MES implementation. Mr. Liwei Song, Production Management Department Head of Shenyang Aerospace Mitsubishi Motors Engine introduced MES application experience in automotive industry. Mr. Qi Jiang, Information Management Director of China International Heavy Duty Truck Group Jinan Power Company shared their information construction experience. Mr. Zhong Chen, Project Manager of Shougang Mining introduced their MES implementation and application experience.

MES vendors from IntMES, GE Intelligent Platform, EpicHust, ZQSOFT, Anolesoft, Bill-SJ, lgcx, BenQ Guru, and BHT Science &Technology brought their MES technology and successful cases. Software vendors also presented and demonstrated their MES products and solutions in the exhibition booth.

Panel discussion

In the session of panel discussion and CIO salon, speakers and audience had a good interaction and discussion around the topic of MES planning, implementation difficulties and countermeasures.

On the second day, e-works Consulting Director Mr. Wei Du had a short training course for the audience. The course contains MES system introduction, ISA95 standard introduction, MES planning, MES requirements analysis and deep application.

The MES forum has received good response from the audience. "It is very practical and give us good suggestions", said them. e-works has hosted MES ApplicationForum for 10 years and MES South China Forum for 5 years. So far, it has become the most influential MES event in China.
