May 17,2007.2007 UGS Connection Great China Conference was held in BoAo successfully with a theme “use PLM to accelerate the innovation of network”. Over 800 attendees to this annual big conference contained users of UGS software, representatives of cooperators and mass media.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of UGS’ entrance into China’s manufacturing, therefore the conference was especially ceremonious. UGS Great China CEO Yuan chao ming presided the meeting in the morning at BoAO Sofitel hotel.

Mr. Tilo Brandis, had been appointed as UGS CEO not long ago, attended this pageant and delivered topic speech. He said that UGS jointed in Simens set a new standard for PLM industry. Manufacture enterprises can benefit from the integration of Simens’s leading automatization design, produce technology and the leading Collaboration Software of UGS PLM.

UGS global VP Mr. Chuck Grindstaff introduced innovation achievements of UGS products ,especially the new functions of NX5. He pointed the facility of NX5 had been improved greatly.

The conference invited famous economist Sheng Hong to gave a lecture about the relationship between China’s economy development and innovation.

An light point of this conference was the talk between UGS Great China market director Shao Ying and president of HUST Li pei gen. The talk was about how to bring up innovative people.

Representative of UGS users –vice president of HONGDO aviation industry company --Huang jun yong, gave a example of using UGS PLM solution to develop a new type of airplane, proved the advantage of UGS PLM solution sufficiently.

In the afternoon, UGS showed audience the wonderful digital product development solution NX5. There were excellent acrobatics on the conference, combined the display of NX5 and the act of artists skillfully, left the audience a strong impression. e-works report the conference on live with photos via net, arose a broad attention.

The partner of UGS, Microsoft and Philips gave lectures on spot as well.

During the meeting, host held a NX5 design competition and experience activity.

On the night, UGS gave a great entertainment and awarded the excellent user and the winner of design competition.

The 2007 UGS Connection Great China Conference was a global regional user conference for the first time after UGS has became a subsidiary PLM company of Simens.? It got a broad attention of medias and ended with great success.
