NEEDHAM, Mass. - August 26, 2002 - PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), The Product Development CompanyTM, today announced that it will provide PTC's Windchill solutions and services to Legend Group Limited ("Lengend"), the leading IT corporation in China, to help enhance its product lifecycle management (PLM). The software was shipped during PTC's third fiscal quarter (ended June 30, 2002).

Windchill is a robust, Web-based suite of collaborative software applications for product development. It provides a secure environment for PLM that allows enterprises to integrate business processes and product data with dispersed divisions, partners, and customers.

Legend has been deploying PTC's Pro/ENGINEER product development software since 1998 to design a series of products, including desktop computers, notebooks, servers, palm-sized PCs and peripherals.? Legend will use its own SureServer for the first time to function as the hardware infrastructure for the Windchill application, thus reducing total cost of ownership.?
