A Chinese manfacturing and research affiliate of Siemens AG (SIEGn.DE: Quote, Profile, Research) plans to spend 328 million yuan ($41 million) on expansion over the next three years, Siemens said in a statement on Thursday.

Siemens Numerical Control Ltd., Nanjing, will triple its production capacity in factory automation equipment.

The company, a joint venture between Siemens and China North Industries Group Corp., will also double its existing research and development force to over 120 engineers.
