Enterprise purchase-to-pay automation specialist BasWare has introduced BasWare anyERP Adapter, a solution intended to enable the integration of BasWare financial process automation products with any of the more than 120 different enterprise resource planning (ERP) and accounting systems now in use.

BasWare said that the anyERP Adapter currently integrates with all the most popular ERP/accounting systems, including those from SAP, Oracle, Lawson and BAAN. Combined with the BasWare Enterprise Purchase to Pay portfolio, the new product provides a high level of automation for procurement and invoice workflows, BasWare said.

The anyERP Adapter replaces previous vendor-specific adapters ¡ª such as SAP Adapter (XI integration), Lawson Adapter, Oracle Adapter, BAAN Adapter and Template Adapter ¡ª to provide customers with a tool to shorten implementation cycles and provide faster return on investment, according to the solution provder.

BasWare's Enterprise Purchase to Pay solutions sit on top of one or multiple ERP systems. The anyERP Adapter helps smooth integration, allowing information to flow to and from BasWare's solutions and back-end ERP systems. This ensures that information is consistent throughout the financial processes and enables accurate reporting, BasWare said.

The anyERP Adapter is built on the BasWare Solution Platform. Based on Microsoft .NET technology, the platform is intended to provide the foundation for all BasWare's next-generation financial process automation applications. The platform incorporates service oriented architecture (SOA) to encapsulate services that can be moved over the network.

"Our customers have complex IT infrastructures that typically use ERP systems from multiple vendors," said Jani Kaskinen, vice president of sales and marketing at BasWare. "They have been asking us for a solution that works across any of their ERP systems, and that's what anyERP does."

Founded in 1985, BasWare is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. The company's U.S. business is headquartered in Stamford, Conn. In 2005, net sales reached $53 million.
