The China ERP forum sponsored by China Ministry of Science and Technology and 863 plan CIMS expert group and entitled “popularization, deep application of ERP industry”, was a great success.

The Forum in Shanghai on August 30th held by e-works was attended by 400 people. All parts of China Manufacturing Industry were represented as well as delegates from government departments, manufacturing enterprises, ERP vendors, intermediary and media took part in. Experts from Ministry of Science and Technology and Shanghai Technology Committee have presented in the forum and highlighted for deep application of ERP in Manufacturing Industry. Mainstream ERP vendors including Kindee, UFIDA, HJ Soft, Langchao, Golden Thinking, Emis, Digital China, Infor, QAD,SSA, IFS, CDC, Oracle, EXACT, EXEL, SoftBrands, Symbol Inc, Sinfors, etc. CIOs from six well known manufacturing enterprises gave keynote speech for recent major improvement. Thirty Media press and websites have reported for this Forum.

In the morning, all the officers and experts from government, universities and software industry agreed on the importance of taking every opportunity to ERP approach and gave their speech.Meanwhile, technical fellow at China CIMS group, Huang Tao keynoted “status and prospect of ERP techniques development” at the Forum. All people attending the meeting are keen to hear the experiences gained in recent major investments in the manufacturing industry in China.

In the afternoon, the attendants were divided into two discussion groups. One is “ The popularity of ERP in SMB”, and the other one is “Strengthening the integration, Promoting deep application”.

ERP technology has got great progress these few years. Some domestic ERP enterprises have grown up. And thousands of manufacturing enterprises got improvement in both efficiency and benefit?during this period. With the development of ERP industry, it is playing an important role for the modernize progress for enterprises who are willing to get more competence. So wider application could be expected.

This forum has witness the rapid development of ERP in China. It is also a great opportunity to strengthen the technical communication and cooperation across industries, and to provide a platform for enterprises better understand the ERP newest technology and development trend & orientations. This ERP forum is surely a milestone in China ERP industry.

The next ERP Forum in Manufacturing Industry will take place in Autumn 2006.
