Vehicle sales in China rose 24 pct year-on-year to a record 721,500 units
?BEIJING (AFX) - Vehicle sales in China rose 24 pct year-on-year to a record 721,500 units, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said.
The association said in a statement that passenger car sales surged 36.7 pct to 486,000 units while sales of commercial vehicles were up 3.9 pct at 235,500 units.
Total vehicle output last month increased 28.5 pct year-on-year to 732,800 units with passenger cars rising 41.8 pct to 499,700 units and commercial vehicles up 7 pct to 233,100 units.
