TI Automotive opens 2nd fuel tank plant in China
TI Automotive, a suburban Detroit supplier of automotive fluid systems, has opened a fuel tank plant in the city of Guangzhou, its second such factory in China.
The 6,200-square-meter plant produces blow-molded plastic fuel tanks for Nissan, Toyota, PSA Peugeot Citroen and Qoros.
The plant, which employs 40, is TI Automotive's 15th facility in China.
In the past five years, the company has opened plants in the Czech Republic, Mexico, Russia and China. TI Automotive employs 23,000 workers worldwide.
