2013 Guangzhou Manufacturing CIO Salon successfully hosted

Aril 25 2013 Guangzhou-e-works, Chinese manufacturing IT application portal announced that the 2013 Guangzhou Manufacturing CIO Salon was successfully hosted.

In Guangzhou Yuexiu Hotel, more than 80 CIOs and IT engineers from manufacturing enterprises gathered to update the latest development trends and application dynamics and share each other's CIO career and team building experience. The Guangzhou salon covers several industries including machinery, equipment, automotive, hi-tech, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods industries.

Dr. Pei Huang delivered a keynote speech on Integration of Industrialization with IT Application Upgrades Chinese Manufacturing. The speech mainly consists of four sections: the latest hotspots and trends in manufacturing IT applications; difficulties and countermeasures in integration of industrialization with IT application; CIO's responsibilities in manufacturing transformation and upgrading; and e-works' role in the integration.

Four CIOs from famous manufacturing enterprises shared their IT application experience as well as confusions and difficulties in the IT construction. They are CIO Zhongsheng Yang from Guangzhou Baiyun Electric Equipment Co., Ltd., Manager Gang Chen from Dongfeng Nissan, CIO Yonghong Wang from LIBY Group, and CIO Chunxu Fang from CVTE.

IT solution providers also introduced their solutions. Senior Consultant Bo Wan from EWIN pointed out that manufacturers can realize intelligent manufacturing and transformation through three steps—MES application platform, synchronous logistics, synchronous manufacturing and in-depth applications. Enpicor solution manager Qiang Xia brought their SOA-based ERP solutions, which has functionalities of advanced planning scheduling, workshop management, bar code management, product configuration, and process design. Senior Business Consultant Yaojing Lao introduced their Infor10 product strategies. Other providers include BenQ Guru and FlowPortal.

For the widespread confusion on IT planning, Wei Du, General Manger of e-works Consulting specifically analyzed the frequently asked questions in IT construction. He mainly introduced IT architecture, IT planning methods, and IT evaluation systems.

Yanfen Jiang, e-works Member Service Executive introduced e-works CIO Club's objectives, organization structure, member services and rights, and activities. At the end of the conference, attendees discussed on the topics like the information planning and strategy and information systems integration. The CIO Club also provides CIOs a good opportunity and platform for networking.
