Efore Selects Epicor ERP for Operations in Finland and China
Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, today announced that Efore, a leading company developing and manufacturing customized power products for electronics, has selected the Epicor next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for operations in Finland and China.
Founded in 1975 in Finland, Efore provides power products for telecom, industrial electronics and electric vehicles. The company began the search for a new ERP solution after realizing that its current system was in need of updating. A key deciding factor for Efore in selecting Epicor ERP included the solution's ease-of-use and broad functionality. Efore reviewed several ERP providers during the selection process.
"We evaluated eight ERP providers, and after careful and detailed consideration of two specific solutions we decided on Epicor ERP," said Antti Turunen, ERP project manager for Efore. "The most important criteria for us were that the system is easy to use, and that it includes broad functionality covering all the processes that our business requires. This means that customizations can be kept to a minimum. We also wanted the ERP vendor to be directly involved in the implementation instead of using an external partner."
Efore will be able to automate many business processes with the new Epicor solution. In addition to daily users of Epicor ERP, other knowledge workers will have access to data and reports residing in the ERP via login through the Enterprise Search facility.
"After the system is in place, we will be able to react much quicker to challenging situations, even before things happen," said Turunen. "Epicor will become a production critical system because everything, from forecasting sales to automated purchasing and financial management, will be managed through Epicor ERP worldwide."
