Siemens Industry energy efficiency solution drives sustainable development in China

From June 20 to June 22, Siemens Energy Efficiency (EE) truck came to its final stop in China during the Factory/Process Automation Show at China National Convention Center in Beijing. EE truck started its one-year-long road show in China from July 4, 2011. The truck had visited 100 cities, 430 companies and had received about 7000 visitors.

EE truck also attended 2011 China International Industry Fair (CIIF) in Shang Hai, 2011 China International Green Innovative Products &Technologies Show (CIGIPTS) in Guang Zhou, as well as Siemens Shanghai Tongji University Campus Recruitment in 2011.

"Siemens' commitment to improving energy efficiency does not only enable its customers to increase their productivity and competitiveness, but also reduce the consumption of resources and the carbon footprint. Chinese government has taken environmental protection as one of its strategic focuses in the 12th Five Years Plan. The truck is our mobile competence center that proves our successful thought leadership in the global energy turnaround and gives us the opportunity to get in touch with our industrial clients and young talents," said Dr. Marc Wucherer, President of Industry Sector, Siemens North East Asia.

On its tour throughout China, the truck used technical models to show how industrial processes can be opti¬mized with an integrated energy efficiency approach. Taking advantage of its intelligent hardware and software solutions, Siemens supports customers systematically in implementing an operational energy management based on the principle Identify, Evaluate, and Realize: Sie¬mens makes energy flows transparent, identifies resource-saving potential and offers optimum products, systems and services in order to implement energy-efficient and economically sustainable solutions.

On the EE truck, Siemens showcased its energy efficiency drives technologies solutions, which included the applications of Simotics GP 1LE0 high efficiency motor and the Sinamics inverters for the conventional drive solutions for pumps, fans and compressors. Compared with ordinary motor, the high efficiency motor can save 7% of the energy and the combined use of the Sinamics inverter and high efficiency motor can cut down the energy use by 70%. Siemens also showed energy-saving solution of Siemens Sirius controller and the soft starter.

Considering the fact that China customers have financial needs in the energy-saving project, Siemens also demonstrated its new financial services mode to Chinese customers. Siemens can offer flexible financial solutions to Chinese customers through its financial service. By this service, customers can rapidly deploy its plan with lowest investment, utilize energy-saving products, and pay the money of equipment purchasing by the saved cost on energy saving. This mode can guarantee the most effective utilization of customers' funds.

EE truck tour in China is part of the Siemens Energy Efficiency Global Road show. The European tour of the Energy Efficiency (EE) Truck kicked off in Germany from March 2012 while the EE truck road show in Latin America started to be on road from mid of July, bringing information about how sustainable production and economic success go hand in hand to industrial customers and the public worldwide.
