2012 China Automotive IT Application Forum successfully held in Wuhan

On June 15, the 2012 China Automotive IT Application Forum was successfully held in Wuhan Zhongnan Garden Hotel by Chinese manufacturing portal e-works.

The meeting was supported by Hubei Science and Technology Department (HBSTD) and government of Wuhan economic and technical development zone. More than 100 people attended the meeting, including leaders from HBSTC, CIOs from automotive companies, automotive software vendors and experts.

Deputy Director-General of HBSTC, Mr. Quan Peng addressed the meeting. He hoped that the forum can help IT workers in automotive industry communicate with each other and further improve the IT application level in the industry.

Mr. Xiang Li, the Chief Editor of e-works analyzed the characteristics of IT application status in automotive industry as well as the application development trend in the industry.

In the morning session, senior consultants and directors from Symantec, JDA, CommVault, GEIP, and EPICHUST respectively introduced their competitive solutions and advantages. Mr. Hongwei Li, the Director of IS Department of DFPV shared with conferees their experience in IT application. In roundtable discussion, participants discussed about the hotspot in automotive IT application, cloud computing, and integration etc.

In the afternoon session, Professor Xianhao Xu from HUST firstly gave automotive companies several suggestions in operating and optimizing supply chain management. Software vendors including KMsoft, Appsoft, Infor, and QAD introduced their powerful solutions. DFSK shared their IT application case with conferees.


At the end of the meeting, CIOs discussed with vendors about the key problems in their IT application.
