Infiniti aims to boost China sales 50% this yea
Infiniti aims to boost sales by 50 percent this year to 30,000 units in China, its second largest global market, the state-owned China Daily reported.
Nissan Motor Co.'s luxury brand also plans to have 90 dealerships by the end of the year, up from 60 stores, said China Daily, citing a company statement.
Last year, Infiniti sold 19,075 units in China, up 60 percent year-on-year. The company's product lineup in China includes a mix of sedans, crossovers and SUVs.
But the brand trails far behind China's luxury market leaders, Audi AG, BMW AG and Mercedes-Benz. Chinese media have speculated that Infiniti plans to produce vehicles in the northeast port city of Dalian.
