Lotus opens first dealership in China
Group Lotus has opened its first China dealership in the Chaoyang district of Beijing, and the company says it plans to open another 10 dealerships next year.
The Beijing showroom features six models: the Elise R, Elise SC, Evora, Evora IPS, Exige S 240 and the Exige S 260.
According to Lotus China CEO Li-Chen Zhang, Lotus has sold 300 cars in China since June, when it began importing vehicles into that market.
Lotus is owned by Malaysian carmaker Proton, which plans to double the British subsidiary's global car sales to 6,000 or 7,000 units by 2015.
