BAIC to deliver 120 EVs to Beijing in October

The Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. will deliver 120 electric vehicles to Beijing's police force this month, reports China Daily.

Lin Yi, the executive director of BAIC's EV subsidiary, told the publication that the C60 EV is built on a Saab chassis. In 2009, BAIC purchased the technology and tooling for old versions of the Saab 9-3 and 9-5 sedans.

The State Grid Corp. -- China's largest electric utility -- will build charging facilities, according to the publication.
