China's Huawei Establishes Cloud Computing Partnership With Deutsche Telekom

Chinese telecom equipment maker Huawei and Deutsche Telekom have signed a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding to jointly expand services within the enterprise business market.

This move marks Huawei's further step of its expansion into the high-end market in Europe.

Under the framework agreement signed between the two parties, Huawei and Deutsche Telekom will implement cooperation in cloud computing data centers, cloud computing solutions, as well as solutions related to smart cities such as smart grids, telemedicine, and traffic networking.

Deutsche Telekom plans to include Huawei's enterprise network equipment in its product portfolio, which will give the Chinese company the opportunity to serve Deutsche Telekom's clients worldwide. Meanwhile, Deutsche Telekom will use its professional technologies in the information and communications field to provide Huawei with related services.

In addition, the two parties plan to jointly provide information and communications technologies and system integration services to top 150 companies in China.

Financial terms of the MOU have not been revealed.
