U.S. supplier Key Safety opens Shanghai office
Key Safety Systems Inc., a U.S. supplier of airbags, inflators, steering wheels and seat belts, has opened a Shanghai facility for engineering, sales and administrative personnel.
The office in the Hong Qiao district will house 150 employees.
The facility will serve domestic Chinese and international automakers, Ron Feldeisen, senior vice president of global sales and marketing for Key Safety, said in a statement.
China is a key growth market, Feldeisen said. Key Safety Systems' revenue is up more than 70 percent this year compared to a year ago, he said.
Key Safety Systems has manufacturing and engineering facilities worldwide, including four main technical centers in the United States, Germany, China and Japan.
