An information technology promotion center was founded Thursday in east China's commercial and industrial center of Shanghai to boost IT application and construction in local companies.

The center, co-founded by the famous universities and well-known corporations in Shanghai, is a non-profit service organization, which provides IT-related research, consultation, training and testing services to the companies.

A working staff with the center said it will try to build a bridge for the company exchange through the spread of SAP (structural adjustment program) standards.

The center will also open different sorts of training classes for the senior staffers and IT specialists of companies.
