Audi Q3 to make global debut in Shanghai
Audi AG's Q3 crossover -- which will have its world debut this week at the Shanghai auto show -- will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that combines direct injection with turbocharging, the company says.
The Q3 also will feature a start-stop system, according to the German luxury brand's Web site.
The vehicle will be produced at Audi's plant in Martorell, Spain, and exported to China.
In Germany, the vehicle will have a starting price of 29,900 euros (282,000 yuan). Audi did not disclose the Q3's price in China.
Other Audi vehicles to debut in Shanghai include the A3 e-tron concept car, the Q5 hybrid Quattro SUV, the A1 and the A7 Sportback.
Audi, China's top-selling luxury brand, sold 63,432 units here in the first three months of 2011, up 25 percent from a year earlier.
