SVW: 100,000 sold last month
Shanghai Volkswagen, the joint venture between Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp and Volkswagen Group, sold more than 100,000 cars in November alone, a 58 percent surge over the same month last year.
It set the new single-month sales record for the company and helped its January-to-November tally reach 899,040 units.
Sales of the Lavida, the best-selling compact made by the joint venture, surpassed 200,000 in the first 11 month, while the Skoda Octavia, another star compact from the company, saw sales cross the 100,000-unit threshold in the period.
