Dongfeng Auto recalls 103,000 cars to fix faulty ignition
Dongfeng Automobile Co. is recalling 103,000 vehicles to repair an ignition relay that could cause the engine to stall, according to the Chinese Web site gasgoo.com.
Citing China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, gasgoo said the recall affects Nissan Tiida sedans and hatchbacks built from November 2004 through May 2006.
The vehicles were built by Dongfeng Nissan, a joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Group Co. and Nissan Motor Co.
Nissan is recalling 2.1 million vehicles worldwide to replace defective ignition relays. In addition to the 103,000 vehicles built in China, Nissan is recalling 92,000 vehicles that were imported into China.
