Sharp to double China stores selling LCD TVs
Japan's Sharp Corp. said it plans to double the number of retail outlets in China handling its Aquos LCD televisions to 10,000 stores by December, seeing it as a market with strong growth potential.
Sharp, the largest mobile phone supplier for the Japanese market, said it also plans to boost the number of retail outlets in China offering its cellphones to about 10,000 stores by December, up from 3,500 in September 2009.
