Value-added output of China's electronics manufacturing sector up 26.3%

The value-added output of China's electronics manufacturing industry grew 26.3% year on year in the first two months of this year, said the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in a statement on its website.

The output of PCs surged 41.3% year on year during the period from January to February, while that of cell phones was up 29.7%.

In the first two months, the output of color TVs soared 68.6% year on year. There was a 108.9% increase in the output of LCD TVs and a 93.9% increase in that of integrated circuits.

The export delivery value of the electronics manufacturing industry was up 27.8% year on year in the first two months, whereas it recorded a 19% decline in the same period of last year.

In February alone, the export delivery value of the electronics manufacturing industry grew 15.8% year on year. The export delivery value of ICs rose 120% year on year, while that of color TVs increased 48.6%. There was a 53.6% growth in the export delivery value of automatic data processing equipment.
