TRW Building Safety Components In China
TRW Automotive created a joint venture with a division of China North Industries Group Corp. to open a manufacturing plant in China.
The companies will build air bag inflators and seat belt components.
The pact announced Friday involves individual units of each company, TRW Asia Pacific Co. and Xi'an Dong Fang Group Co.
The facility will be in Xi'an, Shanxi Province, China. Production is expected to start before the end of the year.
TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. is based in Livonia, Mich.
