Solarfun Unit Wins 3 Supply Contracts In China

Solarfun Power Holdings Co. Ltd. on Monday said a subsidiary signed three contracts to supply 12.65 megawatts of photovoltaic modules to projects in China.

The Chinese solar cell maker's unit Jiangsu Linyang Solarfun Co., in its first contract, will supply 10 megawatts of photovoltaic modules to Xuzhou Xie Xin PV Power Co. for a project based in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The modules were delivered in the fourth quarter of 2009.

The other two contracts amount to 2.65 megawatts and are for a government funded project in Anhui Province. Solarfun expects to deliver the modules during 2010.

Financial terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Shares of the company rose 58 cents, or 5.8 percent, to $10.66 in morning trading.
