China's jumbo jet final assembling center to be established in Pudong

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) and Shanghai Pudong New Area government signed a framework agreement November 18. The final assembling and manufacturing center will be set up in Pudong.

The center will be built at the south of Pudong International Airport and will cover an area of 265 hectares.

The final assembling and manufacturing center, with a registered capital of 2 billion yuan, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of COMAC. It is expected to produce 30 ARJ21-700 jets in 2010 and 50 in 2012.
