GM aims to grow faster than China mkt in 2010

General Motors Co aims to grow faster than China's auto market in 2010, its China chief said.

"Next year we will again try to grow a little faster than the market's growth," said Kevin Wale, president and managing director for GM's China operations.

GM said last week that its China vehicle sales surged 55.6 percent in the first nine months of this year from year-ago levels, surpassing forecasts.

Wale was speaking to reporters via an online briefing.
