Geely to launch its first SUV later this year
Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. plans to debut its first SUV before the end of this year.

The SUV, codenamed GX718, was first displayed at the Shanghai auto show in April this year.
It will be built in Geely's plant in the southwest China city of Chengdu and sold under the newly unveiled sub-brand Global Hawk, said an executive at Geely.
With a wheel base of 2,660mm, the new model will be 4,544mm long, 1,832mm wide and 1,671mm tall, he said.
The model was designed by Italian design house Giugiaro S.p.A. It will be fitted with 1.8- and 2.0-liter gasoline engines or a 2.0-liter diesel engine, the executive added.
All the engines and transmissions will be built by Geely itself, he said.
Pricing information of the SUV has yet to be released.
