HP China and Amdocs, the leading provider of software and services to enable integrated customer management and the intentional customer experience, announced a joint project to provide integrated billing for Beijing Mobile, a wireless operator in China. HP China will prime the project and work in conjunction with Amdocs to integrate Amdocs Billing 6 in order to support pre-and post-paid customers for voice, data, and advanced services, delivering more efficient billing to customers and providing Beijing Mobile Communication Corporation (BMCC) with the capabilities to remain a market leader.

In addition, Amdocs Billing 6 will be fully integrated into BMCC's CRM systems to successfully reduce operating costs, provide faster response time to market, deliver more flexible business and promotions plan, and online charging schemes. HP China and Amdocs will also provide ongoing technical support and maintenance services to BMCC once the implementation is completed.

"China's telecommunications market is experiencing dramatic changes including broad subscriber growth and increased competition," said Michael Matthews, chief marketing officer at Amdocs. "The combination of our extensive wireless expertise, our long standing relationship with HP and our experience with large-scale projects will enable Beijing Mobile to effectively address the changes in the marketplace and remain a leader by offering a differentiated, intentional customer experience to their customer base."

"HP has a long track record working with China Mobile in billing and this project is another milestone introduction of leading edge technology to support the rapid growth of BMCC," said Tony Yeoh, general manager of HP China, Consulting & Integration.

Beijing Mobile is a subsidiary of China Mobile Communication Corporation, the largest mobile company in the world with over 200 million subscribers.
