Asian Spirit Airlines buy more Chinese jets
Xi’an Aircraft Industry (Group) Company under Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) signed a contract with Asian Spirit Airlines of the Philippines to purchase six Xinzhou Modern Ark MA-60 airplanes in Manila, capital of the Philippines, on May 30.
Up till then, Asian Spirit Airlines had ordered a total of 11 MA-60 planes, which is another major breakthrough AVIC has made in exporting its aviation products while overcoming the financial crisis.
So far, the Chinese company has received a total of 162 orders for its MA-60 regional jets with self-owned intellectual property rights from home and abroad.
Of them, 92 orders have been officially placed and the remaining 70 are on orders of intention.
More than 30 aircraft have already been delivered, including 20 planes operating in foreign countries such as the Philippines, Laos, Zimbabwe and Indonesia.
In addition, 12 orders for MA-600 planes have been placed, bringing the total number of orders for MA series to 174.
