Corsair Memory Inc. Selects the Oracle? E-Business Suite Over SAP and Microsoft

Oracle announced that Corsair, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-speed memory modules for consumer electronics, selected the Oracle(r) E-Business Suite over SAP and Microsoft Dynamics. Corsair rapidly implemented the Oracle E-Business Suite across several key geographies to streamline and increase global efficiencies in advanced planning, supply chain management and financial operations.
As Corsair's business was expanding, the company was demanding more from its business applications. To keep up with company growth and a corresponding increase in complex data, it was critical Corsair implement a new applications solution that was both scalable and extremely fast to implement. To develop cutting edge business processes to keep pace with its business, Corsair has added Oracle Financials including Oracle Accounts Receivable, Oracle Accounts Payable, Oracle Cash Management, Oracle General Ledger as well as Oracle Order Management, Oracle Inventory Management, Oracle Shipping and Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning to its existing use of Oracle Database 10g. With these Oracle products, Corsair can more effectively execute on its global supply chain strategy, as well as streamline financial business processes.

"We now have more accurate company information, which leads to better, more nimble decision-making," said Corsair Memory Inc. IT Director Brian Alikhani.

Key to Corsair management's strategic decision-making is the ability to rely on the integrity of financial, manufacturing and planning data. After evaluating SAP and Microsoft solutions, Corsair selected the Oracle E-Business Suite because of its out-of- the-box functionality, lower total cost of ownership and rapid implementation. "We are in a dynamic industry," said Alikhani. "We cannot afford to have our essential business systems out of operation for any length of time. Speed of implementation was a key factor in our choice of Oracle Applications," continued Brian Alikhani.

The rapid implementation and deployment process helped Corsair avoid costly down-time and loss of productivity during the installment of the Oracle E-Business Suite. With the help of Oracle implementation partner DAZ Systems, Inc, Corsair's installation of the Oracle E-Business Suite was completed in less than five months. The rapid implementation process, using DAZ Systems CPG Best Business Practices flows, was a key component to bringing up the systems quickly. DAZ is an Oracle PartnerNetwork Certified Advantage Partner. The accelerated methodology allowed best practices to be included as part of the implemented, increasing the value of the project to Corsair and its employees.
