Industrial internet set to further boost Yangtze Delta development

More efforts will be made to support the industrial internet in the development of the Yangtze River Delta, so as to drive the upgrading of traditional sectors for greater growth, said top industry officials and experts at the fourth China International Import Expo.

"Promoting the economic integration of the Yangtze River Delta has become a national-level development strategy. In recent years, the industrial internet has developed to a deeper level and gained some remarkable achievements," said Wang Zhijun, vice-minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

"The ministry will gear up more efforts to support the Demonstration Zone of Yangtze River Delta Integration Strategy, so as to drive the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and contribute more wisdom to the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry," Wang said.

Wang made the remarks at a subforum on the industrial internet development of the Yangtze River Delta at the fourth China International Import Expo.

At the forum, the China Academy of Industrial Internet also signed strategic cooperation agreements with companies including China Mobile, China Telecom and digital solutions provider H3C for industrial internet applications and development.
