Altair (Nasdaq : ALTR), the global leader converging simulation, HPC, and AI, and Stanley Robotics, are proud to present their collaboration on Stan, the world’s first robotized vehicle storage service, at Global Industrie, September 6-9 in Lyon.

As the global revolution of the outdoor autonomous mobile robot is underway, Stanley Robotics selected Altair as its strategic software solutions provider to increase the reliability and durability of its robots, making storage more profitable while increasing the security of the parking sites using the parking robots. This collaboration is mutually beneficial as Stanley Robotics receives benefits from Altair’s startup support program and Altair leverages the feedback from Stanley Robotics on its use cases with very short design and validation cycles.

Altair will help Stanley Robotics improve future iterations of Stan by reducing the number of prototypes, tests, and ultimately, costs. Thanks to the high-performance calculations generated by Altair, Stanley Robotics continues to evolve the design of its robots by pushing their robustness even further while optimizing production costs. Already present in the parking lots of Lyon Saint Exupéry airport, Stan is now conquering the automotive logistics market.

According to Mathieu Lips, vice president of engineering at Stanley Robotics, “Logistics is following the automation revolution across all workflows. As a pioneer in automated automotive logistics, it is essential for Stanley Robotics to have the most powerful and versatile tools on the market to ensure a robust design that is right the first time. This is precisely what led us to choose Altair, a company that is very attentive to customers of our size and offers powerful and innovative software solutions that bring together simulation and high-performance computing.”

“Startups are the great companies of tomorrow; they are the engine of innovation in France and the flagship of our ability to innovate internationally,” said François Weiler, France country manager, Altair. “Stanley Robotics clearly fits into this category. Today a startup, tomorrow perhaps the industry standard in autonomous logistics. Altair is proud to have contributed to this project and help propel Stan’s international expansion.”

Developments in the project led by Altair and Stanley Robotics will be discussed at Global Industrie in Lyon, France, September 6-9, 2021, booth 1A4 under the patronage of French President Emmanuel Macron.
