Volvo sales advance 14% in 2018 behind locally built XC60, S90
Volvo's China sales rose 14 percent to 130,593 last year on demand for two locally produced models, the XC60 midsize crossover and the S90 large sedan.
The Swedish brand’s December sales rose 18 percent to 11,868.
Volvo didn’t disclose sales results for individual models in China last year.
Aside from the XC60 and S90, Volvo also builds and distributes the elongated S60 compact sedan in China.
The company this year will launch sales of two additional models assembled in China – the XC40 compact crossover and the 1 hybrid coupe under the Polestar high-performance electrified vehicle brand.
