VW brand skid hits 6 months
Volkswagen brand sales in China fell for the sixth consecutive month in November, slipping 8 percent from a year earlier to 304,700.
The German brand blamed the extended sales decline on the trade war between China and United States.
The dispute has hurt the Chinese economy and made local consumers reluctant to buy new vehicles, VW brand said.
This year in China, the brand has launched three crossovers -- the T-Roc, Tharu and Tayron -- as well as three updated sedans -- the Lavida, CC and Bora.
But the products failed to shore up its local sales. Through November, VW brand’s China deliveries slid 0.5 percent year on year to 2,820,100 vehicles.
