BorgWarner supplies electric drive module to Great Wall's EVs
BorgWarner Inc. is providing its electric drive module for electric vehicles made by Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor Co.
Great Wall became BorgWarner’s first customer for the technology in China, the U.S. supplier said.
The locally produced electric drive module has been used in the redesigned Great Wall-badged C30 compact electric sedan as well as inexpensive compact and subcompact electric cars Great Wall has rolled out under its new Ora brand.
Integrated with its transmission and high-voltage hairpin electric motor, the electric drive module provides primary or secondary propulsion for full-electric or hybrid vehicles, BorgWarner said.
