Fifth Annual SINOCES Concludes with Largest Exhibit Floor in Show History

CEA Wraps Up Successful Trip to China for SINOCES 2006

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 14, 2006--The China Consumer Electronics Show (SINOCES) concluded Monday in Qingdao, China, after hosting more than 390 exhibitors, occupying the largest exhibit floor in show history. Co-sponsored by the U.S.-based Consumer Electronics Association (CEA?), SINOCES 2006, China's largest exhibition of consumer electronics, was held July 7-10, 2006, in Qingdao, China.

The fifth annual SINOCES attracted more than 62,000 attendees from across the globe, including 5,300 attendees traveling from outside China. Industry professionals experienced the latest products from 392 global exhibitors, across a sold-out show floor comprised of 35,000 square meters of exhibit space, up from 24,000 square meters in 2005.

The international scope of SINOCES 2006 expanded significantly with more than 80 foreign exhibitors debuting their latest technologies to the Chinese consumer electronics marketplace and international buyers. Several major international retailers were in attendance including Best Buy, Carrefour, Karstadt Metro, Obi, Quelle, Radio Shack and Walmart. Key global exhibitors highlighting their new products on the show floor included Hair, Intel and Sony.

SINOCES 2006 ran July 7-10, 2006, at the Qingdao International Convention Center in Qingdao, China. The show is the largest consumer electronics event in China and the only one endorsed by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese Ministry of Information Industry, the Chinese Ministry of Science & Technology, and the State Council.
