Johnson Drives His No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet to Victory Lane to Continue His Streak at Lowe's Motor Speedway

Jeff Gordon, Also a Hendrick Motorsports Driver and a Three-Time NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge Winner, Finished Third

PLANO, Texas, May 26 -- UGS Corp., a leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) products and services, today announced UGS- sponsored driver Jimmie Johnson, the current NASCAR(R) NEXTEL Cup points leader, and Hendrick Motorsports -- whose cars are developed with the help of UGS(R) PLM technology -- won the NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. to take home the $1 million prize.

Johnson, who drives the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet, has seven wins at Lowe's Motor Speedway since 2002, including five out of the last six and four races in a row. Johnson won three straight 600-mile NEXTEL Cup events at Lowe's Motor Speedway and the 2003 NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Jeff Gordon, also a Hendrick Motorsports driver and a three-time Daytona 500 winner and a four-time NEXTEL Cup Champion, finished third. Gordon is a three-time NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge winner.

The NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge is an annual NASCAR(R) Nextel Cup Series event held the week before the 600-mile NEXTEL Cup event at Lowe's Motor Speedway. The 90-lap, 135 mile race, run in three segments of 40 laps, 30 laps and 20 laps, carries a large purse for the winner versus points and results in an all-out driving style not seen in regular-season races.

"UGS congratulates Hendrick Motorsports and drivers Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon for their continued success overall and specifically at Lowe's Motor Speedway," said Dave Shirk, executive vice president of Global Marketing for UGS. "We are proud of our relationship with Hendrick Motorsports and along with our customers are pleased to know that our solutions help the team deliver wins."
